Representing the Powerless against the Powerful

Our nursing home injury lawyers know the legal, emotional and medical consequences an injury can have on a vulnerable adult. We fight for elderly and special needs residents of nursing homes, long-term care facilities, board and care facilities, retirement homes and assisted-living facilities.

We have over 70 years of combined experience helping the injured. Our elder law practice encompasses a wide range of mistreatment of the elderly, including:

  • Nursing home injury: We advocate for residents who have suffered severe injuries, such as bedsores (sometimes called “pressure sores” or “decubitus ulcers”, broken bones received in falls, frostbite or other exposure to the elements, malnutrition and dehydration.
  • Physical abuse: We thoroughly investigate nursing home staff, procedures, training and supervision when unexplained injuries are discovered. The injuries could be the result of physical or chemical restraints, medication errors or improper supervision of staff members.
  • Nursing home neglect: When neglect is suspected, it is important to examine the facility’s policies and procedures. Many nursing homes and assisted-living facilities have improper staffing to meet the needs of residents, provide inadequate staff training, and suffer from a high turnover rate among employees. If patients are not properly supervised, they may wander off or suffer from falls that cause serious injury or even death
  • Wrongful death: Families may not realize the scope of neglect in a nursing home until their loved one dies as a result. We can help you seek compensation for your loved one’s suffering and hold those responsible for your loss accountable.
  • Financial schemes against elderly: We protect the elderly from financial schemes that seek to take advantage of them. Unfortunately, family members, financial institutions, unscrupulous investment firms and other commercial enterprises may try to steal from or take advantage of the vulnerable and elderly.

As a result of our thorough investigation and diligent preparation, we have been able to secure over $1.5 billion in compensation for our clients over the years.
